Baby name ideas from a 2 year old
Today at lunch, I was telling Ryder that, when the baby is born, we were going to have to pick a name for the baby. So I asked him what he thought a good name for the baby might be. (When I taught, this was one of the funniest things because they would almost always say something hysterical.) Ryder's not really into naming things (like stuffed animals, etc) yet, but he thought for a moment and then said, "I think Ryder's baby's name really should start with R since Ryder's name starts with R." It's good logic, though I hate to break it to him that another R name in a row is one of the only things that we have ruled out! (We don't want to start a strange trend.) He knows the first names for Grandma, Grandpa, Mom, Dad, etc, so I explained that all the names of all the people in our family start with different letters and that the baby's name might start with a different too. But he's got a good point --maybe we shouldn't have been so hasty to rule out R names!
