Proof of what happens when you work with your kid

When we were at the zoo on Monday, we went through the Plains exhibit with all the African animals. While we were standing there looking at the animals, a little girl who was an older 2 year old pointed at an ostrich and said, "Ducky!" Instead of explaining the difference to her, her mom just said to the lady with her, "That's some ducky." Just before this, Ryder had been telling me, "You know, rhinoceroses eat grass and leaves and stuff." And I had explained to him that animals that eat plants like leaves and grass are called herbivores. Kids can absorb a ton of information if you just tell them!
