Yesterday and Next Time
In Ryder terms, "yesterday" means "before." It could actually be yesterday, but it also could have been two weeks ago. Or really any other time in the past. The other phrase he uses is "next time" which really means "this time." When we ask Ryder which choice he would like, he tells us, "Next time I want that one." But that really means, "I would like that one now." Which I suppose is technically the next time, though it's not how society uses the phrase. Which makes it super-cute!
