Ryder lookin' fancy!

Ryder has been into picking out both his shirts and pants lately, instead of picking his shirts and letting me pick pants that match. I'll have to post pics later of some of the other outfits he picked out because they are much funnier than the one above. But the best part of the one above is the comment. Note that the shirt is Sesame Street with a navy band at the neck. So I told him that we should pick out some blue pants to go with it--meaning navy pants. So Ryder sees these pants in the pile and says, "Those are blue pants! Those match." Now, the pants are not either of the colors of blue in the shirt and they also have patches with Pooh and Tigger snowboarding on them, though honestly the patch colors do match the shirt (not that Ryder noticed that). But overall this outfit isn't a bad pick for a two year old in terms of matching. The really funny part of this story though is that when he finished getting dressed, Ryder told me, "Ryder looks fancy today!" I might be able to agree to them being "matching" to a certain extent, but fancy I'm just not sure about!
