Chicago Weekend
We had a great time in Chicago this weekend. We went on Saturday to visit Justin and while we were there we took Ryder to Wrigley Field to see his first Cubs game. (Well, his first regular season game and first at Wrigley, because we did go to a Cubs pre-season game in AZ last year.) We had good seats and the game turned out to be quite exciting. At first they were getting creamed, but managed a great comeback. It was all tied up in the 11th inning when the rain started coming down. They called a rain delay, which we waited out till the rain stopped and then decided to take the opportunity to get to the car, which was good since it started raining again. (And it's not too bad that we didn't stay for the end of the game since, after waiting out the rain, they played till the 14th inning when the Cubs finally lost.) We went back up to Evanston for a late dinner, which proved kind of difficult since we had trouble finding somewhere we could even get seats. On Sunday it was IKEA! Mom and I spent 3 hours at IKEA, not bad for not having been there in a while. The boys spent a while with us, and then went to watch a little football while we finished shopping. And the trip proved productive too since they had some stuff we needed that they'd been out of the last few times we went. After shopping, we stopped back in Evanston for a late lunch at the wonderful Joy Yee Noodles with Justin before driving back home. And we get to go back in a few weeks for family weekend at Northwestern! Don't get sick of us yet, J!
