Halloween

We were so busy the week or so before Halloween that we didn't get our pumpkins carved till Halloween evening. Ryder drew his "face" on his pumpkin and I cut out a face based on his drawings. It turned out a little op-art, but I managed to interpret it into a face. The finished product is the first picture.
Trick-or-treating was so funny because Ryder wouldn't say "trick-or-treat." Not that he couldn't. But every time we got up to the door, he would say, "May I please have some candy in my basket? You may. Thank you!" I don't think anyone else understood, but Drew, my dad and I thought it was hysterical! Ryder insisted on pulling his wagon almost the whole way while we were trick-or-treating. By himself. No one else was allowed to help, even to guide it onto the sidewalk. We eventually convinced him that if he was going to do it himself he had to at least pull instead of push from the back. Otherwise it's impossible from him to guide from the back. One determined little boy!

When we got home, Ryder was excited to break into the treats. Luckily we managed to keep the treat-eating to a reasonable level. And he's so sweet because he wants to share with everyone and walked around when we got home passing out treats to the rest of the family.
