It's true--animals do not have hands

Ryder has been discussing with me multiple times in the past week how the pets don't have hands. It's kind of humorous. He's made comments including:
While we were playing catch in the yard: "If the ball rolls into the street, Mommy will have to get the ball. Wookie can't get it because she's doesn't have hands because she's an animal. Just people. So just Mommy can get the ball."
While we were sitting on the bed, kind of randomly, though the cat was on the bed: "You know, animals don't have hands, so they can't do stuff. Just I can play because I have hands."
I'm not sure where this topic has come from since the first time he brought it up all by himself. I mean, we talk about animals ALL the time because he loves animals. But this seemed to come a little out of the blue. It is a good observation though.
