Neighborhood Halloween Party
Sunday was the neighborhood Halloween party, which was fun and not too cold. Ryder had the most fun sampling the snacks, all of which laid out on a table that was just in his line of sight. He did play one of the group games called Wrap the Mummy. He was elected as one of his team's two mummies. I wasn't sure what he would think of that, but he seemed ok with it so I didn't say anything. He was fine with it till they got all done wrapping him, then he wanted to be unwrapped. We managed to convince him to stay wrapped long enough for his team to win and pose for a picture. He was happy when he got to pick a prize from the bucket, especially since they had bubbles, which he immediately wanted to play with. He also participated in the costume contest, though the 6 and under group didn't stay in line long. But they were all so cute in their costumes! We even got a chance to meet our new next-door neighbors and some other people from the neighborhood. What a nice afternoon!
