Octopus and Doughnut Stickers
I never got a chance to post this a few weeks ago, but it is funny, funny stuff, so here goes. Drew went on a work trip and was out of town for a few days. The day Drew left, Ryder started telling me that when Daddy came home, he was going to bring back an octopus and doughnut stickers. Octopus is especially funny because it sounds like "Hocapus." Now, I have no idea what doughnut stickers are and I never got a straight answer from Ryder. When I asked him, he would just tell me, "You eat it." Even Drew, who is Ryder's source for doughnuts, had no idea what that meant. But apparently doughnut stickers are funny because he kept standing up on his stool in the middle of a room and saying, "DOUGHNUT STICKERS" and then laughing hysterically. Ryder elaborated on the whole story by explaining that when Daddy brought home the octopus and doughnut stickers, we were going to eat them. He told me, "We're going to eat the octopus, the head and the body and the arms and everything." Now, he does love seafood, but he's never had octopus. He knows that they're sealife, but we never talked about how people eat them. And I to this day have no idea what those doughnut stickers are. But he kept talking about them both all week and how Daddy would bring them home for him.
