It's really not so much of a "hunt"

Honestly, all the parks dept egg hunts we've been to are more of a scramble than a hunt. They are just all laying there in the grass and get picked up in 49 sec. But Ryder loves it. Carter, not so much. Drew kept putting eggs near her, showing her, clapping for her, but she wasn't having it. She just kept looking at him like he was crazy. Ryder, on the other hand, seemed to really get the point for the first time. He has always LOVED egg hunts--he even insisted that we have one at his second birthday party. But until this year, he would walk instead of run and would only pick up certain color eggs. This year, he took off running and picked up all the eggs he could find. Nice work, kid. Maybe with a little more practice, we'll even have your sister doing it before the Bunny comes... Maybe not, but we'll go to a few more community hunts between now and then, so who knows. Not that I'm expecting the dash and grab, but she maybe could get the "put them in the bucket" plan.
