Sick on vacation sucks

Yesterday, Ryder woke up seeming fine in the morning, but at noon was saying how tired he was, just as we were about to leave for a baseball game. We took him, thinking that he just had jet lag and hadn't had a nap the day before, so was just tired. Well, he fell asleep on the way to the game and again at the game briefly. Then, as soon as we got home, he threw up. Bummer. Then he rested, then fell asleep again. And again. And again. Poor guy is just so tired and sick. At least he didn't throw up again yet, but he is running a fever and so VERY tired. So that probably cans the vacation plans for today, unless he magically wakes up with his fever gone and tons of energy, which I don't see happening. Too bad since we were supposed to go to the zoo and he was going with all the guys to a basketball game tonight. Now it's Mommy stays home and take care of sick boy while Daddy goes to work meetings and a basketball game. Not sure where the vacation part comes in.... But he's going to be so bummed about missing everything. (As am I, since now we don't get to be out in the sun and warm air--one of the main reasons AZ is nice this time of year because the weather at our house is lousy!) I know how much it sucks to be sick on vacation, so I feel for him.
