It was cool and windy at the cliffs of Moher and there's me using the camera who's pictures later didn't turn out--but luckily just this roll!
This is the funniest sign! Don't go jumping off the cliff!
Aren't the cliffs cool??
Rock of Cashel from the bottom of the hill
Ryder and Drew at the Rock of Cashel--isn't that kiddo adorable?? He was asleep part way through the rock, but then woke up and was being very cute!
Checking out one of the many ring forts. Luckily some of them didn't have a sign about not climbing and the view from the top was super-cool.
The boys got to play golf at some really neat courses while we were there--Neil, Cameron, Drew and Peter
The boys and the Payne Stuart statue
Much of the ring of Berra was on the coast and the views were gorgeous!
These castle ruins on the ring of Kerry were amazing and we even climbed up to the second story to check it out--wonderful!
My sweet boys at old church ruins on the ring of Berra
Old head golf course--what a view!
Stone circles were one of Ryder's favorite things to see. He loved examining them for moss and comparing which were bigger and smaller, etc. This circle was on the ring of Berra.
Ryder spent a lot of time in the backpack since there was lots of hiking involved in seeing the sites. We found this great waterfall while we were looking for a stone circle--we couldn't find the circle, but the great waterfall (which Ryder loved!) was worth the hike.
I know it's been a month and a half now since we got back and it's been driving me nuts that I never got around to the Ireland post. I kept thinking that I needed to find the perfect pictures, but then I came to terms with the fact that it's been forever and I just need to pick some cute ones and get them up. So here's they are. Note: the pictures aren't in order of the details below. We really did have a wonderful time. We spent the first 5 days or so exploring the ring of Kerry and the ring of Berra and the surrounding area. The ring of Berra isn't nearly as popular or developed, but Drew and I both thought it was better than the ring of Kerry. But they were both different, so it was worth doing both. The ring of Berra was stone circles, church ruins, beautiful water views and standing stones. The Ring of Kerry was ring forts and old castles. Then we drove to the Rock of Cashel, which was imposing and really cool. Then we stayed at a castle (which Ryder thought was super-cool) near the cliffs of Moher. The cliffs were amazing (though I was frustrated that I double-shot a roll of film while we were there, so all the pics are really funky, but not any good ones--guess we have to go with the digitals on that one) and the Burren landscape near there that we drove through we so unusual. Then we drove to Dublin, where we spent 2 days exploring the city. It was the only part of Ireland that I had been to before, but it was neat to see again and explore with Ryder and Drew. We actually spent a few extra days there too, but that post was already written. So there the run-down on Ireland, if a little late.
