We had a great time at ZooBoo this afternoon, despite the fact that it was chilly, mostly due to the wind. Ryder loves the zoo and getting to see all the animals was almost as fun as doing the Halloween activities. Though he did enjoy the trick-or-treating quite a bit. Not that he will way "Trick-or-treat," despite practicing it. When it's time to say trick-or-treat instead, it comes out sounding a lot like, "May I have some candy for my basket please? You may. Thank you!" Which is quite funny, though I'm not sure that everyone understands because he says it so quickly and it's such an unexpected thing to hear from such a little guy! Ryder favorite part of the whole day was feeding the goats, though the goat pen was closed so we couldn't actually go in. Feeding them consisted of stuffing leaves between the bars of their pen for them to eat out of his hand. Despite the fact that there were lots of leaves on the floor of the goat pen, the goats were actually quite interested in eating the leaves Ryder was offering. He loved that they were eating right out of his hand, though eventually he started just shoving handfuls though the bars.
Ryder picked out this sweet doggy costume all by himself, insisting that he was going to be a dog.
