Visiting Santa

Ryder handles this Santa thing like a pro! Today we went to see Santa at BabiesRUs, which was nice since you could bring your own camera, unlike when you visit Santa at the mall or whatever. So of course Drew and I both had cameras and we took pictures of him talking to and posing with Santa. When we got there, there was one other family, with a little boy about Ryder's age who was being held and didn't want to go talk to Santa. So the parents said, "How about we give this little boy a turn. Maybe he wants to talk to Santa." Ryder marched right up to Santa and said, "I want some trains and trucks for Christmas." I reminded him to use his polite words, so he rephrased it as, "I would like some trains and trucks for Christmas, Santa. You may, Santa. Thank you, Santa." It's all very cute! Then Santa showed him some pictures of his reindeer, which Ryder thought were very cool. After that I asked Ryder to stand next to Santa so I could get their picture together and Ryder told Santa, "My mommy's going to take our picture and then we're going to go look for Thomas." (See the next post for more on Thomas hunting!) I'm glad he's not intimidated with Santa because the pictures I'm getting whenever we see him are very cute!
