What a little stink

My normally polite and sweet little boy was such a little stink the other morning, but it stands out so much because it was only one moment--the rest of the day he was fine. So it started with Ryder standing in the kitchen and using his foot to roll one of his cars. I told Ryder that he couldn't stand on his cars because they would get hurt, at which point he moved to kick the car instead. So I explained to him that it wasn't ok to kick toys because they were going to get broken. So he kicks the car across the room, then runs over to pick it up. As he's picking it up, he looks at me and says, "Is it broken yet?" Then he turns the car over in his hand and examines it and says, "Nope, not yet." Which struck me as so funny because it was kind of a mix of "See, it didn't get broken" and "Well, guess I'll have to keep trying!" What a little snot! Of course, the car promptly went into time-out and we discussed toy kicking and listening to what Mommy says. But it sure was funny.
